King David of Israel

I am waking up at 3 am
Insomnia happens!
I realized I was thinking of King David.
He ran from Saul, when he had slain Goliath. I figured out that he was choosing not to win the war with King Saul because he chose not to kill the King of Israel. He could have ascended the throne quickly by doing so. Yet he was choosing God's time for his becoming the King. How beautiful to wait on God's timing!

What story keeps you from God?
Begin with each religious person you know and change the way you look at that person.
Today, for me that is the story of Jonah who had compassion on the tree but not on people. May compassion come to me now and may it bring it's blessing fully in this moment.
Let all bitterness depart. Let love reign.

I have been thinking about God's kindness. How bread is so good. Yet we give up this good thing and then we enjoy it again!
How wise is God. His ways are good, and we can be kind like God. How interesting.
May today be a day of compassion and goodness for all who read these

FUN Quilt

Here is a few things I have done.

Death knocks again

There are people I worry about who might die. Then there are people I know who are dead. Also relatives of dead people. Funerals, shiva, what do I do? How can I personally make a difference in the life of someone who is Suffering the loss of someone they are not willing to lose?

Books on birds

I found a book on birds and now all I need to do is scan it. I am going to be excited to work with this book.
I am doing a nature journal and this is what I have been waiting on!

Friends

My friend is ill. I am sending prayers for healing to both her and her mom who is also recovering from car accident.
Then another friend had an accident. Praying for her because sometimes when you are not hurt in a wreck there are still things to deal with because your car is hurt!

Nature

I am trying to write, sew, clean house, and drink my coffee all before 9 am.  It is now 6:10.  I wonder what I can do today...
It is raining and  on rainy days, I tend to think that I can't see the birds because we take the feeder inside when it rains.
You can't go outside and watch the birds unless you are crazy, but maybe that is what true birdwatchers do.  Just go outside no matter what the weather.  That is not me.  Hopefully when I go to the bank I can see whatever is aloft in the times when the rain is not so heavy.
